Meet wendy
Wendy Padilla is the Founder of Sunflower Turning Nonprofit, Inc. , which is a North Carolina-based not-for-profit organization focused on Inspiring, Educating, and Empowering Communities to grow their own food.
In addition to sprouting Sunflower Turning, Wendy has previously worked at the Central Park School for Children in Durham, NC (CPSC). During her tenure, she established compassionate and caring relationships & leadership amongst the CPSC community of educators, staff peers, and families as a trusted partner & resource.
Wendy is a local small business owner and dedicated parent.
As a product of the public school system, Wendy has seen the great opportunities offered, and is empathetic of the significant challenges for students striving for a better future, regardless their background. She strongly believes that the public school system can and should work to help all children thrive. Wendy has been an active member of the PTA, an active parent volunteer, and remains a top-notch advocate for all students.
